The Out of the Wild website appears very interesting. There are 3 main purposes of the site. The first it to give the plan of salvation. The second is to aid in discipleship. The third is to realize that your are on a mission from God.

The plan of salvation is clearly laid out. It asks the question that makes many feel very uncomfortable. "If you were to die tomorrow, do you know for sure that you will be in heaven?" It gives scriptures and even gives guidance for praying the sinners prayer. I'm sure that will cause some concern for some readers who have theological problems with such a prayer, but I think it is great.

The second purpose is to guide in discipleship. You should take time to study the Bible and pray every day. You should also server others and seek out and learn from other christians.

The last purpose is to realize that you are on a mission from God. "The world has enough good men and God is not looking for you to simply join their ranks. God is not trying to create more good men for the world and being good does not, of itself, please Him. What God desires are committed men who are dedicated to carrying out His will. Men who are on a mission from God."

There are a lot of provided resources. There are discussion groups both public and private. There are weekly devotions that can be emailed to you. There is even a blogroll that has some intersting blogs on it. I think that is going to be the most exciting thing for me. I don't know the requirements to get listed, but hopefully that can happen at some point.

I think it would be fun to see some of the methobloggers join. The site is very conservative, which reflect my views. My screen name is SundaySchoolThoughts. Leave a comment here if you join.
