Our relationship, salvation, and security with God is not dependent on our feelings.

WeFeelFine.org captures the feeling of bloggers in real time. As I browsed the site and looked at the different feelings being expressed by different bloggers, I was reminded how our feelings and emotions can betray and lie to us. It is possible to feel on top of the world, and at the same have a sinful heart that is alienated from God. It is also possible to feel you are so far at the bottom of the barrell that there is no hope. In both of these circumstances, feelings and emotions get in the way of truth.

Our relationship, salvation, and security with God is not dependent on our feelings. It is totally dependent upon God's grace. If it were up to us (thank God it is not) then our relationship would change with the tide of our emotions. With the confusion - go to the site and see how many people feel confused - that is out there, this is a message that needs to be preached.

hat tip to Tony Morgan.

By the way, this is post 100 for me.

reading Cary Chapman's love languages of God ... our feelings may be part of the way we hear and receive love also from God.

    interesting thought :)
