Can Miracles be Explained?

They can be seen as signs that validate Jesus as the Son of God, as well as the authority of the authors of the Bible

People are constantly denying or trying to disprove the miracles performed in the Bible. One of the latest is the attempt to explain that Jesus walked on ice, not on water. I see three options when dealing with the miracles mentioned in the Bible.

  1. They can be denied. After all, in our culture, we know that these types of miracles cannot occur.
  2. They can be explained away, as seen in the above link
  3. They can be seen as signs that validate Jesus as the Son of God, as well as the authority of the authors of the Bible

Not surprisingly, I take the third approach. My next few posts are going to contain my layman’s thoughts about miracles.
